Leslie is a Landscape Horticulturist (RSE) Red Seal Endorsed. Leslie is also very proud to have earned her specialty Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan, this is the Prairie Horticulture Certificate (PHC) designation for Landscaping and Arboriculture PHC.

Leslie hails from Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, she owns and operates a Landscape Design/Build, construction & maintenance company that employs 8-12 people. Also owner operator of a Garden Centre and Nursery that is a Grow to Retail operation and employs 10-14 people per season.

Leslie has her family working for her as well, Leslie’s husband is a supervisor for the Design/Build side of the company in the summer and a Journeyperson Construction Electrician in the winter. Leslie’s daughter is the General Manager for the Grow to Retail Garden Centre operation.

Being on the prairies is a challenge as the growing season is very short and our desert like climate, keeps things interesting. This is why Leslie deems it so important that herself and her staff continue to educate themselves on the ever changing landscaping and gardening conditions in their area.

Leslie has participated on the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship Trade & Curriculum Boards for Landscape Horticulturist since 2009, in 2010 Leslie was awarded her Prairie Horticulture Certificate and became a U of S Alumni, then in 2016 Leslie earned her Red Seal Landscape Horticulturist designation.

Leslie currently volunteers on many committees through the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA), of which she spent 3 years as the Landscape Canada Committee Chair (LCC) and still serves as the LCC Past Chair.

Leslie serves as the past-president of the Saskatchewan Nursery Landscape Association (SNLA) and has been an active member of the local Communities in Bloom committee for Moose Jaw, SK since 2014.
