Gro for good Video Contest is about to launch – Vote for your favourite community by going on the Scotts Canada Facebook Page

Scotts Canada Limited launched the first edition of the new Gro for good program on January 16, 2019.  The program aims to keep the spirit of community and connection to nature alive in Canada by providing grants to deserving communities, schools and non-profit organizations seeking to develop sustainable gardens and green spaces.

The recipients of the 2019 Gro for good grants, valued at $2,500, are:

–          Ridgewood Community Garden, Edmonton, Alberta

–          The Farm – Rocky View Schools, Airdrie, Alberta

–          Palermo Community Rain Garden, Oakville, Ontario

–          The Gathering Food Gardens,  Simcoe, Ontario

–          De la semence à notre assiette, Laval, Québec

–          Tricultural Community Garden and Food Forest, Salisbury, New Brunswick

Each grant recipient will compete for one additional grant of $2,500 that will be awarded based on a social media contest hosted by Scotts Canada. Our winners have prepared a video to showcase their project, demonstrate their community spirit …and proudly let us know why their garden should receive the additional grant!

All gardeners throughout Canada are invited to vote by going on the Scotts Canada Facebook Page from June 5 at 12:01pm to June 10 at 7:59am to “Like”, comment and share these posts. The number of “likes” will determine the winner!

Scotts Canada is pleased to be offering this exciting grant opportunity to Canadian communities in partnership with Communities in BloomPlant · Grow · Share a Row and Nutrients for Life.
