Tout au long de l’année, la vie bourdonne dans la ville avec des événements passionnants que l’on peut mieux apprécier des terrasses confortables du centre- ville. Faire une promenade en ville, c’est comme voyager dans le temps, qui peut durer plus de mille ans… À quelques kilomètres du centre-ville, on trouve une toute petite place, le Sóstó Eco Center, le cœur verdoyant de la ville. Plus de la moitié de la superficie de 218 hectares est protégée au niveau national et abrite une faune abondante, comprenant 12 espèces d’orchidées domestiques ou près de 80 espèces d’oiseaux nicheurs locaux, avec un monde remarquable d’insectes et de champignons. Il n’est pas étonnant que Székesfehérvár soit l’une des destinations touristiques les plus populaires ; le nombre annuel de nuitées a doublé depuis 2013. En 2017, notre ville a reçu un prix pour la Hongrie parmi les destinations européennes d’excellence (EDEN) présenté par la Commission européenne. La ville accorde une grande importance à la création d’espaces verts et au fleurissement. Outre le développement continu des parcs, nous sommes également fiers de pouvoir impliquer les collectivités locales dans le mouvement visant à embellir la ville. Lors de la campagne annuelle For a flowery and greener Székesfehérvár-publiéepourla 9e fois cette année - plus de 2010 institutions et candidats individuels ont décoré leur environnement de fleurs bénéficiant du soutien de la ville. Depuis 1994, et ce à chaque année, Székesfehérvár a participé avec succès au concours Hungary in Bloom, et en 2017, la ville a également reçu le prix spécial du Premier ministre. Life buzzes in the city centre with exciting events all year round which are best enjoyed on the cosy terraces. Walking in the city is like travelling in time, which might span over a thousand years… Just a few kilometres from downtown, one can find a tiny spot, the Sóstó Eco Centre, the green heart of the city. More than half of the 218-hectare area is nationally protected, has a rich wildlife, including 12 domestic orchid species or nearly 80 locally nesting bird species, with remarkable fungi and insect world. It is no wonder that Székesfehérvár is one of the most popular tourist destinations; the annual number of overnight stays has doubled since 2013. The city places great emphasis on creating green areas and flowering. Besides the continuous development of parks we are also proud to be able to involve local communities in the movement to adorn the city. In the yearly campaign “For a flowery and greener Székesfehérvár” – which is published 9th time this year - more than 2010 institutional and individual contenders decorated their surroundings with flowers enjoying the support of the city. Székesfehérvár has successfully participated in the competition “Hungary in Bloom” since 1994 every year, and in 2017, the city also received the special award of the Prime Minister.
